The fastest-growing segment of the homeless population is families. In recent years, homelessness among families has been increasing, which is reflected in the fact that about one-third of the entire homeless population are families, with one-fourth being children in Red Wing. The situation facing the girl-child in Zambia is increasingly dire, with a staggering number of orphaned and vulnerable girls living in the streets of Lusaka, the government of Zambia under the dept of Child Protection Unity reached out to us asking if we had finished our first children’s home so that we can take 300 hundred vulnerable children both boys and girls.
Currently, our first children’s home is not yet completed, and we are unable to adequately accommodate the growing number of girls seeking shelter and support.
This overcrowding compromises their safety and well-being and impedes their access to the quality education and rehabilitation services essential for their growth and development.
We come to you with a critical need that demands urgent attention: constructing a children’s home and classroom for the children and families in Chibombo district of Zambia (Africa). As our family grows, so does the need for safe and secure housing for the vulnerable children under our care in Zambia.
The new children’s home/Classroom project aims to address this pressing need by providing spacious, high-quality accommodation for up to 30 children and learning space for 100 children in Chibombo District of Zambia.
The Childrens home will serve as a safe place for orphaned and vulnerable children.
Faith Family Foundation remains steadfast in our commitment to providing essential services to the children under our care. We have implemented stringent health protocols to safeguard the well-being of our children and staff while simultaneously working to resume construction activities and expedite the completion of this project.
